Countdown: 7!

In Birmingham now, spending a couple of days with my broken baby ballerina. She is doing well after surgery on her foot, and looks forward to being back on stage in a few months.

Thinking about feet, and all that they enable us to do ..... Whether passionately pirouetting across stages, or patiently plodding the planet, or getting us to the car, the pool, the fridge - they are so deserving of our consideration, care and gratitude.

Shocked by the cold, on arrival in Birmingham - 11deg C, and so have bought myself a down puffer jacket. While here, I have straightened out some technological issues, run errands and done chores for the baby ballerina, seen the musical Singing in the Rain with her, and enjoyed hanging out with her in this lovely apartment. Will pack tonight and catch an early morning train to London tomorrow. Let the adventure begin!
